Space Saving Bags
SPACE BAGS??? good or bad??
Hello, i'm going on a vacation and returning with lots of clothes, so i was thinking to get space bags to save some space, do they really work?? and most importantly do they wrinkle clothes??? please let me know.. thanks!! (only from experience)
Are you talking about the ones where you put everything ni and then push the air out? These are great! I've used them before when I moved overseas and only wanted to take one suitcase with me. Bulky sweaters and things like that were easy to pack after using those space-saver things.
Keep in mind the size of the space bag vs how many clothes you want to stick in there. I used the smaller ones and they only fit a few things. I ended up packing very lightly. But if you have a LOT to pack, decide whether you want to buy 3 small bags or one huge one. I found it easier to pack multiple smaller bags than one or two large ones. They're definitely handy either way, though.
EDIT: Oh, and as for wrinkles... they *say* your stuff won't wrinkle, but mine did! I bought a travel wrinkle spray thing that you just spray on lightly and then brush the wrinkles out with your hands. They sell that at any travel shop and it's quite handy.
Something else to look into is zipper bags. They come in multiple sizes and are generally black mesh and canvas bags in a square shape. The top zippers off on three sides and you can roll things like underwear, socks, tshirts, etc, to fit in tightly. To me these were very handy for small items (even shorts or thin pants) and I have maybe 3 or 4 of these bags. They keep things in a small space and save room for bigger items.
