big hole in walk in closet door?

theres a big whole in the walkin closet door it went through inside from outside so basically theres 2 holes how do i fix this?

To fill hole
First make sure there is no protruding edge by cutting with a sharp blade and then sanding with a block of wood inside your sandpaper. 80 grade.
Then fill it. Is there anything inside ? Do you need to give it something to hold on to?
If it is just a hole and an inch space you could start off with newspaper worked through thin plaster and build it up
It might pay to tape a piece of card board over, or better still in the hole from the other side.
When you have got a structure there, and it is dry, remove any proud bits and the plaster around the edge of the hole (clean up the edge of the hole with a damp cloth and let dry as the bog needs to bind to the edge of the door face) and then apply 'builders bog' or similar 2 pack Polyester filler.
You will have to do this step a few times so do not mix too much filler as it will go off.
Finally sand with a board inside the sandpaper , something a lot longer than the hole.
