Shelf Hanging Closet

Need a closet alternative....?

In both of my kids' rooms all they have is a clothes hanging rod with one shelf above it. They are open...no closets. We rent so I need some kind of solution that wouldn't be permanent AND I'm on a budget. My daughter has a tall dresser already and my son has a tall cupboard..but they are not enough to hide toys and all the clothes hanging on the rods. Can you come up with some kind of creative way that I can hide the clutter that surrounds these two areas in their rooms? I'm kind of at a loss here.

Get some under the bed storage containers.You can get the see through ones so you know what's inside.
Or,you could hang a curtain around the area where the pole is.Get a curtain rod that would fit around the space or one of those rods you can use to go around a bathtub,They're rounded at the ends.
A pretty sheet would make a good curtain or go to a used clothing store for curtains such as the Salvation army.
