how to send wedding dress through airport xray machine?

just wondering if anyone has had the experiance and to get some advice , my fiance is taking her dress(in a davids bridal bag) as her carryon to our wedding in orlando, we are flying out of logan (boston) , what the usual procedure with sending the wedding dress through xray? do u have to just fold it up as much as possible so it doesnt get caught on anything? and does the metal hook on the wooden hanger matter? thanks

We had a destination wedding and brought the dress with us. Get a really good dress bag that zips and covers the entire gown (not a plastic bag).

When you get to the airport, just put it through the x-ray machine like you would any carry on item. It will be fine. Just lay it flat on the belt.

When you get on the plane, ask the flight attendant to hang the dress in first class (even if you aren't sitting there) if the plane is full. They should not have a problem with it.

The dress will be fine. It is more common than you think. Do NOT ship the dress. The last thing you want to happen is that the dress gets lost in the mail. Keep it with you at all times.
