Closet Organizers Shelves

what did YOU use in your dorm room?

doing a high school journalism story on dorm room items. i want to include only the items really needed and items that the very limited space can allow. what did you take to furnish your dorm room?

did you use any drawers/file cabinets to place underneath the desk?

what about closet organizers?

shelves on top of the dresser?
how big of a t.v. set?

An electric tea kettle is essential, posters, my own bedding, computer, telephone. The closets were already fairly organized, with the dresser build into the closet.

We basically had a bed, a closet with drawers, and a desk. Over the desk the gave us a few shelves. If there is space, I would suggest a small bookcase, as I found the few shelves they gave us not enough. Most people ended up renting small fridges to store snacks in. There was space under the bed to store stuff. Some of the beds were empty underneath, so that you could store suitcases and the like. Other beds had drawers under them.
